As a developing country we need successful entrepreneurs to develop the country. But we have handful of entrepreneurs. Are we in a comfortable situation?
We believe that we should face the issues in our own way. Sri Lanka is great country. We have long proud history. We have done wonderful things using our own talents. If Japan. Korea can have their own management practices why we can’t? This is a challenge. But however we should develop our own model to handle our own organizational issues. We should learn from our own experiences and others experiences and try to develop management model which fit modern local and international competitive environment.

NIPED is an organization formed to fill existing gap in management field. We believe that Sri Lanka have many talented people. Identifying and developing those hidden talent and philosophy, we will able to achieve our end. NIPED is to give the leadership for that journey.


Today we are in a competitive, ever changing, complex world. Organizations cannot consider in isolation. Hence, time has come to understand issues in system framework rather than in isolation. Every situation is related with another situation. Globalization is the key trend. Within the complex environment, we have three task. One is to develop our own business philosophy and second to localize others business methods. Third and sometime the most crucial task is developing the mind set of all stakeholders (students, parents, teachers, managers, employees, leaders, professional etc.) to think in an entrepreneurial manner. That is the main strategy we use to develop our own management model.
